Friday Favorites - Writers & Graveyards

Last Saturday we spent a lovely day exploring an old graveyard in Concord, MA and nearby Walden Pond with some new friends.  The graveyard is called Sleepy Hallow and is home to the graves of some famous writers, such as Emerson, Thoreau and Alcott.  It was an awesome place to take pictures, so I thought I'd share a few of my favorites today.

Hope you have a fun weekend planned!

  1. Oh, what a lovely place. These tombstones are gorgeous. I may just re-read Thoreau one of these days...

  3. I love old cemeteries. The headstones are so artistic and beautiful. Some of the best cemeteries that I've visited are in Savannah, Georgia and New Orleans, Louisiana. Just amazing.

Thanks for sharing a bit of your trip with us!

    Hugs,

  5. I love old cemeteries, too, Ali. My fam thinks I'm a tad off because of that. Oh, maybe for other reasons too, but that's definitely one of them. Love these pics... thanks for sharing.
